Tech Summit
The Tech Summit was the first of it's kind in South Yorkshire, and it was essential that it launch with a bang. Hiring out an IMAX theatre at Barnsley's Cineworld, the events team had a vision of opening the inaugural event with a video to kick off the day and showcase tech businesses and talent in the region.
In this stage, we:
- Conduct in-depth discussions with clients to understand their goals, preferences, and target audience.
- Research the industry, market trends, and competitors to gain valuable insights.
- Develop a comprehensive video concept, including the storyline, script, visual elements, and overall creative direction.
- Create a detailed production plan, outlining the timeline, budget, resources, and logistics required for the video shoot.
The shoots for this video screened at the IMAX were spread out over only a few weeks, which meant we had to put together a robust plan to achieve a top tier result.
Video Production
Professional Video Filming and Production
We put together a robust team to cover a multitude of shoots across the South Yorkshire region that could speak to key figures and capture b-roll footage that really elevated the interviews and visualised the aspirational core messages behind the piece.
In this stage, we:
- Set up the filming location, ensuring optimal lighting, sound, and aesthetics.
- Employ state-of-the-art equipment and technology to capture stunning visuals and crisp audio.
- Direct and guide the talent, ensuring they deliver their lines or actions with authenticity and professionalism.
- Capture multiple shots and angles to provide variety and enhance the visual storytelling.
We had a lot of fun capturing some amazing footage with such a talented team and ensured we had more than enough quality footage to move on into the edit.
Video Post-production
Creative Video Editing and Post-production
Having to turn things around pretty quickly, we often ran shoots and edits in tandem to ensure the final video was being pieced together and reviewed bit by bit to stick to schedule.
In this stage, we:
- Carefully review and select the best footage captured during filming.
- Edit the video, ensuring smooth transitions, proper pacing, and visual continuity.
- Enhance the video with colour correction, visual effects, and motion graphics to create a visually stunning result.
- Incorporate appropriate music, sound effects, and voiceover to enhance the overall impact of the video.
This editing process ensured we always had enough time to get feedback and make any necessary adjustments ahead of the screening and really proved what we're capable of.
Video Delivery
Video Finalization and Delivery
Finalising the project wasn't easy with so many people having a steak in how it would look and feel, but working closely with the team, event management, location and animation teams we pulled something together that would set a high bar for future events.
In this stage, we:
- Review the final video to ensure it meets the client's expectations and adheres to our high standards of quality.
- Incorporate any necessary revisions or changes based on client feedback.
- Optimise the video for different platforms, formats, and resolutions to maximise its reach and impact.
- Deliver the final video to the client in the desired format, whether it's for web, broadcast, or other specific requirements.
Along with delivering and screening the video at the IMAX, we also captured photography of the event it's self to complete the package start to end for the client.
